In this video we continue our discussion of C# 4.0. Please note that we are not
only covering the 4.0 features of C#, we are also covering older features that
you have not seen in previous videos using .NET 4.0. Specifically today, we are
talking about creating C# programs using NotePad++ and SharpDevelop. We are
stressing the fact that Visual Studio 2010 is not the only development tool
that you must use. You have many options when it comes to .NET development. We
will see how to create a C# file in NotePad++ and compile it from the command
line. We will also see how to create a project in SharpDevelop, and how to
convert the code from C# to VB.NET. This is a neat feature in SharpDevelop that
comes handy is development shops where you have some code created in one .NET
language and you need to convert to another.
